Reinvented in midlife. Stitched With Intention.
About Alicia
Designer of A Tailored Life™
There was a season when "I used to call myself a biscuit — because that is exactly what I was. One biscuit away from 300 pounds."
Not because I didn't know better. I had been thin once. Active. Someone who genuinely loved to move her body. I knew what health felt like. And then, quietly, I didn't recognize myself anymore.
I tried the obvious things. Programs. Plans. Discipline. Starting over on Mondays.
Nothing held.
So I stopped trying to fix what I was eating and started asking a harder question.
What was eating me?
The Quiet Realization
That question changed everything.
Because the weight was not the problem. The weight was the symptom. Underneath it was a woman who had spent years stitching together the needs of everyone else while quietly unraveling her own. A woman who had postponed herself so many times that she had almost forgotten what she actually wanted.
Even exercise — something I once loved — had become a source of dread. And when I finally stopped pushing through the dread and started getting curious about it, I discovered something surprising. I didn't hate movement. I hated what the movement had become. Punishment. Performance. One more thing I was failing at.
When I changed my relationship with why, the what followed naturally.
That is the pattern I have seen in every area of midlife misalignment.
It is rarely about the thing itself. It is about the feelings, habits, and history underneath the thing.
That is what The Midlife Couturier™ Method is built on.
Not fixing symptoms. Examining seams.
A skilled couturier does not discard a garment because it no longer fits perfectly. She studies it. She examines what shifted. She refines what can be refined and redesigns what must be redesigned.
Midlife is not a demolition project. It is a tailoring moment.
I did not need a new life. I needed to stop waiting — and start designing the one I actually wanted.
That distinction is the entire brand.
Wait loss. Not weight loss.
The Tailoring Insight
From that realization, the Midlife Couturier™ Method was born.
A structured four-stage framework:
The Fitting — Awareness
The Fabric — Identity
The Pattern — Design
The Alteration — Tailored Living
This method helps women thoughtfully examine what no longer fits and intentionally redesign what comes next.
Not through chaos.
Not through performance.
But through craftsmanship.
The Midlife Couturier™ Philosophy
Why I Built This
Because too many women are told one of two stories about midlife:
That it is a decline.
Or that it requires dramatic reinvention.
Neither felt true.
Midlife is not when a woman fades. It is when she finally has the wisdom and perspective to design a life that truly reflects who she has become.
I built Midlife Couturier™ for reflective women who feel that quiet shift and want a structured, dignified way forward.
A Tailored Life™
Today, my life does not look the same as it once did.
It feels clearer.
More intentional.
More aligned.
Not because I burned everything down.
But because I refined what no longer fit.
A Tailored Life™ is not about perfection or luxury.
It is about congruence.
And I believe every woman in midlife deserves the opportunity to design one.
Begin Your Own Redesign
