Can You Love Your Life and Still Want Something to Change?
For a long time, I thought dissatisfaction was an accusation. I loved my life—its people, places, routines, traditions, and memories—and assumed gratitude meant I shouldn't want anything to change. But sometimes I'm not unhappy; I'm simply no longer comfortable inside something that once fit me beautifully.
Some parts of my life were right for the woman I was when I chose them. Those choices weren't mistakes. She was building with the information, desires, responsibilities, and dreams she had then, and she did a good job getting me here.
But I'm here now, and I've changed. I can honor what I've built while noticing what no longer feels right, what I'm maintaining automatically, and what I'm ready to stop carrying.
I don't need to discard my past or start over. I can be grateful for who I've been without promising to remain her forever. I can make room for the woman I am now—and feel like myself inside this life again.
